The other day, a fellow practitioner shared a transbirth story
前两天有一位蓮友分享了一个往生故事
The expedition of Caesar's legion was mentioned
那其中就提到了凯撒军团东征
One hundred thousand Roman troops were wiped out
十万罗马大军全军覆没
They died in Gansu region of China
都死在了我们中国甘肃一帶
Such a powerful story
这么一个震撼人心的故事
I thought it was amazing
我听了以后 我觉得非常地神奇
It was so unbelievable so I looked it up online
非常不可思议 我就上网去查
The most venerable Chin-Kung talked about it before
我看到了我们淨老和尚有開示过
Also old Bodhisattva Qi Suping
还有齊素萍老菩萨
She did specifically for Caesar's legion
她就专门为了这个凯撒军团
Built Jinshan Temple in Yongchang County in Gansu Province
在甘肃的永昌县建了甘肃金山寺
enables me to understand the origin of Jinshan Temple in Gansu
也让我了解到了甘肃金山寺的由来
Was to transcend these 100,000 Roman troops
就是为了超度这些罗马十万大军
So the temple was built
才建立了这个寺院
I was really impressed after reading it
我看了以后真的感到很震撼
I hope after hearing about this story
希望看了这个故事以后啊
Can have an impact on those who don't believe in causality
能让这些不信因果
don't believe in the cycle of rebirth in six realms
不信六道轮回的人
It will turn their mind around
彻底颠覆他们的想法
Death isn't the end of all, soul is immortal
人死了不是一了百了 灵魂是永远不灭的
This is a true story
这个故事是真实的
It's a karmic record of people talking to ghosts
是人跟鬼谈话记录的因果故事
Because it was a true event
因为这个故事是真人真事
I've included the real footage of the
我后面还有当时这个被附體的
mother and daughter when they were possessed
母女两个的真实的镜头
This is absolutely true. Those who
所以是绝对真实 希望大家
Believe it can watch it all
相信的 就把它看完
It's shocking but also beneficial
一定会受益 也很震撼
Those who don't believe it can view it as a story
不相信的 就拿着它当一个故事看
Please don't create speech karma
千万不要造口業
This happened in nowadays Gansu Province
故事发生在現前的甘肃省
Hexi Corridor, Yongchang county
河西走廊的永昌县城
The story is told by mother and daughter
讲述该故事的是一对颇为神奇的母女
Both of their bodies are possessed
在她们的身上各附着一个
By the souls who died 2,000 years ago
兩千年前死去的人的灵魂
In the beginning they were views as lunatics
起初她们的身体就像神经病人一样
They talked nonsense, acted crazily
总被人认为是疯疯癫癫 胡言乱语
The possession lasted for 27 years
附躰的时间很长 达二十七年
The stories were told when under circumstances
因緣成熟之后 所有的故事
Through mother, Li Jinlan, whose body was possessed by the spirit
通过附在母亲李金兰身上的灵魂
It was all spoken in Roman
都是用罗马语说出来的
Translated by the daughter Zhang Xinhua, who was also possessed by another spirit
再由附在女儿张新华身上的灵魂翻译之后
It was spoken thorough her
通过其口说了出来
A section chief at United Front Work Department of local government
当地政府统战部的一位科长
Published a book based on the stories
将他们的故事整理成了一本书
The Mystery of Caesar's Armies Invading China.
叫《凯撒军团东征中国之谜》
At first, the section chief was fascinated by mysterious phenomena
起初 这位科长总是有着对神秘现象
Very curious about culture and psychics
文化和通灵之类事情的超乎于常人地好奇
But he didn't believe it
但是并不相信
after meeting with both mother and daughter many times
在与母女两人多次接触之后
He also affirmed the truth of the story
他也肯定了这个故事的真实性
It happened more than 2,100 years ago
故事是发生在兩千一百多年前
During Han Dynasty in China
正值中国的汉朝时期
Roman Empire was at the prime and the Supreme Commander
当时世界上同样强盛的罗马帝国的最高统帅
Julius Caesar coveted the abundant Western Regions
凯撒大帝覬覦西域地区的富饶
He secretly sent over 100,000 soldiers to invade China
秘密派了一支十万多人的军团 打算强占中国
Caesar appointed his third son to be commander of the legions
凯撒任命自己的三儿子 担任军团的统帅
He is called the Third Prince in the story
故事中称三王子
A thousand years later, he possessed Li Jinlan's body
千年之后附體在母亲李金兰的身上
And personally assigned a very capable
同时亲自指派了一个非常能干
experienced and resourceful legion advisor
有着丰富带兵经验的 足智多谋的军师
His name was Adili Yasiz Arivaris
名叫「阿迪里・亚西支・阿里娃里希」
千年之后附體在女儿张新华的身上
The advisor was fluent in five languages
军师精通五国语言
Especially proficient in languages of the Orient and Western Regions
尤其精通东方大国、西域的语言
Understood Western Regions customs
了解西域风土人情
After seven days of intense preparation
在紧锣密鼓地筹备了七日之后
A Roman legion of 100,000 soldiers
这支十万大军的罗马军团
Took farewell, the roads were crowded with people
就在民众热情的夾道欢送之中
They departed on expedition with the thoughts that never returned
带着与家亲眷属生死离别的悲壮与不捨出征了
Because Rome is too far away from China
由于罗马距离中国地方太过遥远
They rode and walked all the way
一路上都是骑马走路
It took one year and two months to reach Xinjiang, China
历经一年零两个月才抵达了中国的新疆
他们的军队三分之二是骑兵 三分之一是步兵
They didn't acclimatise along the journey and many died
士兵有水土不服 的， 死亡很多
It is worth explaining
值得说明的是
The legion was not replenished on the long journey
长途跋涉的这个军团是没有补充兵的
They lost one member as one passed
可谓是死一个 就少一个
It became half by the time they reached China
所以到中国来的时候大概只有一半人了
They then trudged through western China
随后又艰难地渡过中國西部
A desolate desert
荒无人烟的茫茫沙漠
The barren Gobi Desert
寸草不生的戈壁滩
Finally reaching Xinjiang
终于在新疆的境内
They then met a Chinese legion of more than 2,000
遇到了一批兩千多人的汉人军队
They fought the first battle since the expedition
打了入侵以来的第一仗
By the twist of fate, the Chinese general
造化弄人 由于汉军的首领
had been sent there by royal court
刚刚被朝廷调遣过来
The frontier officers didn't know him
当地边防官差并不熟悉
After Roman Legion's first victory
因此罗马军团在打了第一场勝仗之后
The Third Prince took the advice of his consigliere
三王子在军师的建议下
Posing as a Han legion general
冒充汉军将领
By coincidence, the legion took down the first city, the "Tuqi Fort".
阴差阳错的率军占领了第一个城市「吐气堡 」
the regiment didn't stay long after this
在这之后 这支军团没有过多的停留
Continued from Xinjiang to Hexi Corridor
继续前行 从新疆走到河西走廊
another encounter with the Chinese and another battle
再一次跟中国人接触到了 又打了一次仗
They had upper hands because they were taller
依仗自身人高马大的条件
Chinese people were shorter comparatively
相比于中国人的矮小
They didn't view Chinese as a threat
他们起初根本没把中国人看在眼里
They were cocky during these battles
所以打起仗来 他们也是很骄傲的
Pride goes before a fall as the strategy says
兵法里说骄兵必败
They didn't know that Chinese would strategise
他们根本没有想到中国人会布阵
This battle was very intense
这场战争非常的激烈
Over 9,000 died in this battle
一次战争当中 他们就死了九千多人
It was a major blow to their morale
重大地打击了他们的士氣
The lost their ambition to take down China
他们对于占领中国的这个雄心也就失掉了
But they kept going
但是还是在继续前行
There were about 10,000 left when they reached Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province
到达甘肃河西走廊 只剩下一万多人了
So far 90% of this legion had died in China
至此这个军队十分之九都死在了中国
fewer and fewer people survived after more battles with Chinese troops
以后跟中国人又经过几次战争 人就越来越少了
In the end, close to 1,700 soldiers remained and they commit mass suicides
到最后就只剩下不到一千七百人 集体自杀
They received the help from a Bodhisattva during the time
期间他们得到了一尊菩萨的帮助
This Bodhisattva was the incarnation of Avalokiteshvara
这个菩萨是觀世音菩萨的化身
They called him Bodhisattva Libin
他们稱其为利宾菩萨
Bodhisattva Libin often helped them
利宾菩萨常常救济他们
He enlightened them and said,
并点化他们 并且告诉他们
China is not yours, why are you here?
中國不是你們的 你来干什么呀 ？
In other words, you don't have the cause to be in China
换句话说 你命里没有中国这个緣
So you came and died in China
所以你来了 就死在了中国
Julius Caesar, who started the war in the story
故事当中战争的发动者凯撒大帝
He died in China, according the mother and daughter's statement
最后也死在中国 他也是借助母女二人的口
How he escaped from the oldest son's manipulation and assassination
把自己如何摆脱大儿子的篡權暗杀
He escaped with his family and guards
携家属和身边衛士逃脱
To Yongchang County,near Hexi Corridor in Gansu, China
至中國甘肃河西走廊 永昌县的这桩事情
It was told in great detail
详详细细地说了出来
A historian of a famous university in China verified
后来中国某著名大学一名历史学家去鉴定
The authenticity of the story
也确信了这个故事的真实性
But what happened more than 2,100 years ago
然而兩千一百年前
The ghosts of the Roman legion still lingers in China
中国境内的这支罗马军团鬼魂不散
It's still a legion
现在还是个军团
The Third Prince cared for his soldiers
统帅三王子爱护士兵
The soldiers were reluctant to leave their commander
士兵也不愿意离开统帅
Their spirits are still active now
至今仍然很活跃
Only a few have gone to the Western Bliss
只有少数念佛往生到西方極樂世界了
Some of them went to Heaven
也有一部分到天道去了
But there are others
但是还有一部分人
Still clinging on the status and refuse to leave
仍然守住目前这个状态 不肯离去
Later, The Third Prince made unremitting efforts
后来经过三王子不懈的努力
He reached Venerable ChinKung when the timing was right
因缘成熟 找到了老法师
Telling all to Venerable ChinKung
在老法师面前
The possessed mother and daughter duo sang and performed
被附身的母女二人唱歌表演
They spoke perfect Ancient Roman language
完全说的是一口流利的古罗马语言
All they wanted was to build them a temple
附身只求一桩事情 替他们建个廟
So these ghosts could have a place to settle
让这些鬼魂有个安居的地方
"Why don't you go back to Rome?" he was asked.
有人就问他：「你们为什么不回罗马呢？ 」
Replying, “We can't, there's custodian god at the border."
他们答到：「回不去了，边界有护法神 」
The Chinese custodian gods wouldn't let them leave
中国的护法神不让他们离开
So they can't go back
所以他们回不去了
Therefore Qi Suping layperson of East Tienmu Moutain
就这样 东天目山齊素萍老居士
After learning about this
在得知这桩事情之后
She vowed to build a temple for the Roman ghosts
发心要为这些罗马亡灵筹资建寺
Jinshan Temple in Jinchang City, Gansu Province, was inaugurated in 2011
最终甘肃省金昌市金山寺于2011年
On the former site of Huanmao Temple, in ancient Lixuan city
在原位于驪軒古城遗址黄毛寺旧址上
Was restored and rebuilt
得以恢复重建
Although this story happened more than 2,100 years ago
虽然这个故事是发生在兩千一百多年以前
But for us modern people
但是对于我们现代人来说
it is very thought-provoking
却非常值得发人深省
After Venerable Chin-Kung learned the story
老法师也在得知这个故事之后
In every sermon on different occasions
歷次講經说法中
He made many discourses to us during dharma ending age
多次为我们末法年代的云云众生做过開示
About the authenticity of the story
对于这个故事的真实性
The old master taught us
老法师曾经開示说
I call this book, the believable nonsense
我称这本书叫可以相信的鬼话
You can believe in the words of the possessed
从鬼附身出来的 可以相信
We can collect and organise these stories
这些东西要多多地整理出来
If we have seen enough of this phenomenon
这个可以相信的鬼话看多了
People would believe in karma
人就会相信因果报应
Research the sources carefully, There's only benefits, no disadvantages
要细心去审查 有好处没有坏处
Definitely not superstition
绝对不是迷信
The old master also spoke the truth of causality
老法师也曾一语道破因果事实的真相
"Said the old master
老法师開示说
The Roman legions of over 100,000 invaded China
罗马军团十万多人入侵中国
Lost almost all battles in China
在中国打了几次仗没打赢
Then the whole legion was wiped out
以后全军覆没了
These soldiers who died 2,000 years ago
兩千一百年前死的这些军人
The souls are still very active
灵魂现在还非常地活躍
They suffered so much,
他们非常非常地苦啊
Bodhisattvas came to help them
得到菩萨帮助他们
So the whole legion took refugee
所以这一批部队通通都皈依了
We could imagine
我们一般人想像
Possibly the incarnation of Avalokitesvara
可能是觀世音菩萨的化身
The Bodhisattva was with them and told them
菩萨跟他们一起 又告诉他们
China is not yours. Why are you here?
中国不是你们的 你来干什么？
these words are very profound
看到这一句话感触很深
How so? You have to accept your fate
这就是什么呢？人要认命啊
When it's meant to be, it would come and vice versa
命里有时终须有 命里无时莫强求
China is not in your destiny, China isn't yours
中国不是你的 你命里没有中国这个缘
They came but died in China
所以你来了 就死在了中国
This tells us that
这提示我们
One conquer others land, resources by means of war
用战争的手段争夺来的土地、资源
Might be something one ought to have by fate
还是你命里有的
You can't get it if you don't have it in fate
命里没有的夺不到
So why go to war? With such cruel means?
那何必要用战争呢 用这种残酷的手段呢
So causality is quite erudite
所以因果这门学问
The truth cannot be denied
这个事实真相不能不知道
People must understand fate
人要懂得命运是一定的
You'd have what it's destined to be
命里有决定会来
Don't force if it's not meant to
命里没有 不要去强求
It'll come naturally without manipulation
命里有 不用这种手段你也会得到的
Besides, the old master also pointed out
此外 老法师也指出了
The educational significance of establishment Jinshan Temple
金山寺建立的教育意义
they were ghosts wandered around about 2,100 years ago
兩千一百年前都做孤魂野鬼、遊魂
They were bitter and pitiful
很可怜 很苦
Now a temple was built for them
现在给他们建个廟
It's a very good example
这是一个非常好的教育
What does that mean? People don't die
说明什么呢？ 人没有死啊
How can we offend others if we don't die?
人要是不死 我们怎么可以得罪人呢？
It's likely one wants revenge if one's offended
得罪人之后就会冤冤相报了
It's a problem if it lingers from life to life
生生世世没完没了 这个就麻烦了
After we understand the truth
我们了解了事实真相之后
We'd never offend a single person
绝对不会得罪一个人
Through this real possession story
通过这个真实的附體故事
We all need to believe that the cycle of rebirth in six paths do exist
我们大家真的要相信六道轮回是真实存在的
Karma is real
因果报应是真实不虚的
We are also grateful to these Bodhisattvas for teaching us
在此也感恩这些菩萨给我们得示現
I am also grateful to Venerable ChinKung and old layperson Qi Suping
也感恩老法师 感恩齊素萍老菩萨
Built the temple for the dead
给这些亡灵建了这个寺院
They can be truly transcended
他们是真正地能得度
But The Third Prince has not left
但是一直到今天 这个三王子还是没有离开
He's still attached to Li Jinlan
他还是附在这个李金兰的身上
He said he was the one who brought out the whole legion
他说整个的这个军队是他带出来的
He's responsible so he can't leave first
他是有责任的 所以他不能先离开
He must wait until
他一定要等到
all these sentient beings are transcended and he'll go
把这些所有的众生都超度完了 他再走
This is cause for them to become Buddhas
这也是他们成佛的因緣
Maybe it's not accomplished now
可能到现在还没有具足吧
Hopefully, the 100,000 legion
希望有一天这十万大军
can go to Western Bliss
个个都能往生西方极乐净土
Go and become a Buddha, become and come back as a Buddha with vows
去成佛作佛 再乘願回来
Transcend more sentient beings, more spirits
度化更多的有緣众生 更多的亡灵
Hopefully, through this story
也希望这个故事
Can show the leaders who started the wars
能让这些挑起战争的领导人们也能看到
If this country is not yours, you won't have it with invasion
这个国家不属于你的 侵略也得不到
Jingya would also pray for those
在此 末学靜雅也为累生累劫
who died in the war in different times
在战争中牺牲的这些众生们祈祷
All of them can benefit on behalf of Buddha's wish and virtue
希望他们都能乘佛愿力 仗佛功德
Solve karmic obstacles and resolve grievances
業障消除 化解怨懟
Pure serendipity increases, abandon sufferings and obtain happiness
淨緣增生 离苦得樂
Reborn to Western Bliss, Namo Amitabha Buddha
往生西方極樂世界 南無阿弥陀佛
